Grow Hair And Stop Hair Loss (2)

Studies have linked salt intake to hair loss. Sodium from common table salt is retained in the tissues of the scalp (and throughout the body), hampering their functions.
A nutritionally balanced diet will not be of much benefit if the body is incapable of transmuting the elements it requires. As we get older, the body is less and less able to absorb nutrients. This is initially indicated by the fact that the stomach fails to produce as much acid as it did earlier in life, evidenced by the increased presence of gas, heartburn, and bloating. Sensations of exhaustion after a meal tend to point to the digestion process also burning up too much energy.
Protein, which is the building block of hair, is usually the first victim of poor digestion.
Proper digestion involves four principal stages, and begins in the mouth with the production of saliva. Saliva launches the digestive course by breaking down carbohydrates and preparing food for peristalsis, the journey through the digestive tract. The secretion of stomach acids is activated by the chewing action.
The second stage happens in the stomach with the secretion of enzymes from the pancreas. These enzymes break down the food, and are replaced from enzymes found only in raw foods. Since the quintessential western diet accentuates cooked foods over raw, the pancreas is frequently unable to secrete adequate levels of enzymes by middle age, and requires the assistance of an enzyme supplement. Ironically, while a supplement will assist the pancreas, it will also weaken it by making dependent on the supplement.
The third stage involves the secretion of the hydrochloric acid to further the breakdown of food. Heartburn results from an insufficient level of this acid.

Prevent Hair Loss – What is DHT and How to Block it!
Posted by Paul in Prevent Hair Loss on October 24, 2009
So how can you Prevent Hair Loss?
Well I guess the first part is trying to understand it.
Now unfortunately as humans, for most of us, nature is not on our sides.
We have all heard of testosterone before. We know its important for our bodies, its helps us grow, it aids healthy muscle development and much much more.
But it is the byproduct of testosterone otherwise know as Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which can cause large amounts of hair loss and is also the cause for other health problems such as prostate cancer.
Dihydrotestosterone naturally occurs when DHT testosterone comes together with an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase. This specific enzyme is the culprit for turning the DHT testosterone into the number one cause for hair loss, disbursing it throughout your body.
Click here to discover how you can block DHT and regrow your hair.
But you are probably thinking, why am I hairy everywhere else? well like in my previous posts, there are other factors which come in to play to make it harder for the hair to reproduce on the top of our heads, whereas the rest of the body has a much greater advantage.
Dihydrotestosterone does have its purpose within our bodies however, and does play an important role in our development, as significant as it may be. But once our bodies stop developing, it does prove quite a problem to not only our hair follicles, but our prostate health.
Blocking DHT is now found to be the most effective way to stop hair loss. And being able to do this with natural supplements and treatments such as Provillus makes it so much easier.
Now as I mentioned before, if you block DHT, you will stop hair loss, but that alone does not help you regrow your hair.
To help healthy hair regrow and to aid the process of repairing your hair follicles, you need to take steps to ensure healthy blood flow and oxygen to the problem areas of the head. I will go into the ingredients in Provillus later and how they aid not only preventing hair loss, but hair regrowth too.
So what you need to do is to find the smallest faults you can in both your diet and lifestyle, and find out how you can turn them around to help you not only regrow your hair, but also improve your overall health.
Some steps you can take could be:
- Cutting down on artificial foods which contain preservertives
- Engage in more excercise
- Take supplements and vitamins which aid blood flow and good blood health
- Circulation exercices as mentioned in previous posts
- Healthy oxygen(no smoking)
- Less Stress
- and anything else you can think of which you feel is not helping.
Hair Loss Treatments – Part 2!

If you have not already, please read my first post on hair loss treatments.
For those of you who have, I will continue my story.
So by now you are probably wandering what hair loss treatment I had discovered. This treatment that will hopefully finally stop me from losing my hair. Well once I spoke to my wife about what the kinesiologist and I talked about and what actions I had to take, she even offered to massage my scalp for me if I would keep up the cardio side of things.
Well the next few months were nothing short of amazing. Obviously by age 50, my hair loss had basically ceased as I really had no more hair to lose. But after just 1.5 months after taking the treatment, and doing the exercise and massage regularly, There was a large amount of new hair follicles appearing all over my head.
I was absolutely blown away. I already had more growth after 1 month than I had after one whole year with laser treatment. Now obviously hair regrowth is a very long process, but having seen hair strat to grow from follicles which had been dormant for 30 years absolutely blew me away.
Six months after starting on the treatment, I had an amazing amount of regrowth on my head. I started to grow my hair again from the usual buzz cut hair style I had had for so long. Although it wasn’t thick, it showed sufficient coverage and made me look years younger again. You probably would of classified it as someone with very thin hair.
About 12 months ago, my hair stopped regrowing (from what I can see) and I now maintain a full head of hair, and have more hair than I did when I was 20 years old. My wife still can’t believe the difference and I can tell you that my confidence levels and self esteem have shot through the roof.
If you look in my picture at the top of the page, I now have a full head of hair. I now pass on this information of this treatment, along with a healthy diet, exercise and light massage to all my friends, family and patients who need the help.
Hair Loss Treatments – The ones that failed, and the only one that worked!
Posted by Paul in Hair Loss Treatments on October 24, 2009
Now I have tried every hair loss treatment around. The amount of shampoo’s I have used (for 3-5 courses), laser treatment, pills etc have either shown tiny improvement, or no improvement at all.
I have to say that all the hair loss shampoo’s I tried were useless. And upon further research into the methods of helping regrow hair, I very soon found out that they are no more effective than an anti dandruff shampoo. I will go into that in another post.
With laser treatment, I did see some small improvement…over the course of a years worth of treatments….but could not justify the cost that the very small results had. And like most men, I was very nervous thinking about how I would look with hair transplant surgery.
You often see some men who have had the surgery and it just looks so unnatural.

But one day around two years ago, I came home from work to find my wife at the kitchen bench with a few bottles of a new hair regrowth treatment a friend of hers was using as she was experiencing a form of hair loss known as female pattern baldness (caused by hormones, aging or genes). My wife said that she had been on the pills for 3 months and after her second month the hair loss had stopped dead in its tracks, and all over she had started to notice more coverage in her thinner spots.
And you can probably imagine what my response was to that…yeah right…you just wasted more money on hair loss products that don’t work. But we had them there so I decided to start taking them and see what results I would have.
That same week I was booked in to see a kinesiologist, which I see on a regular basis, for an unrelated problem and decided to take the pills along to see what he thought of them. To my surprise he tested them on me and suggested I should continue taking them.
Now let me tell you a little bit about the pills. I will go into what causes hair loss in another post, as it is well known now that it is caused by DHT, a byproduct of testosterone. And of course other things such as health problems, stress etc. But what this treatment does is actually block the DHT which in turn prevents any more hair from falling out.
Now to regrow hair, you need healthy hair follicles. Which means good blood flow to the follicle and a good supply of oxygen. Its a bit like growing plants, but on your head. This is why we struggle so much and why we develop a hair loss pattern on our head as the small capillaries which carry the blood flow to the top of our head flow at a very low rate, and often don’t pump any blood at all. Think of it as them being at the end of the line. And that is why you have hair every where else on your body, because of good blood flow.
But what the kinesiologist explained to me in such easy to understand terms is that the ingredients in the hair loss treatment I was trying would not only stop the DHT, but encourage hair regrowth. He also told me to lightly massage my head every night for 5 mins and try to get in more cardiovascular exercise to help stimulate blood flow around the body.
So as you can imagine, I could not wait to get home, give my wife a big hug and tell her all about it. She was a bit hesitant with the hug and all I got was a “told you so.”
More to follow…
